It is sad to see darren go but I don't think we will notice it much on saturday as Mcghee will probably be playing a 5-3-2 formation (with oatway, carpenter and Nicholas) and he wouldn't be playing anyway. I will always remember his goals agianst QPR and the blades but equally his last game for us against rotherham where his crossing was woeful. We will miss a good crosser at home though, no doubt.

Crossing against Rotherham was so woeful that he still set the goal up.

Careful. London Irish could be on the prowl. If he hears you talking about his Oatway in that fashion....

Shoreham of course
Just heard all the news, I must admit I am shocked, I thought he was happy with us and would see out his contract with us.
Saying that though the £250.000 would come in handy

Shoreham of course
We still have the likes of Jones, Hart, Hammond and of course Jarrett to turn to, not to worry

The only one of those that inspires any confidence at present is Hammond, but again like Oatway, Carpenter and Nicolas, very workman like. Not inspiring really.

No flair

what are you actuallly loooking for a 'flair player' to do in a 3-5-2 system ???, its pretty much a hard working formation and relying on your full backs to push on and support your midfield and get the ball in the box whoever crosses it !!
lets not overdo the praise on Currie he did not set the team alight every game did he ??, our victories have been based around all players working for each other and not individual play.

In fairness under Coppell we were able to accomodate Brooker in a 5-3-2, with some sort of free role behind the forwards, so it can work.
