Steve Coppell has made his first acquisition as Reading manager after completing the signing of Wolves midfielder Ivar Ingimarsson.
The Iceland international, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, has cost the Royals an initial fee of £100,000 with an extra £75,000 based on the performance of both the player and the club.
The 26-year-old admitted it was "a relief" to leave Molineux and said: "It had got to the position where I didn't feel I was wanted at Wolves and all I want to do is play first-team football.
"All I have done this season is play for Wolves reserves and my country, but I have trained hard and I am very fit.
