Which Brighton rejects would they be ?

Paul Armstrong(played 90 minutes), Simon Wormull (who came on as a sub), Marney (Unsused Sub) Palmer (Unused Sub)

Hardly a full team of ex Brighton Players!

Shut up wookie! They are crap and will never make the league. They are just mickey mouse and not worth talking about. They only get a half decent attendance when The Albion dont have a game!

The ground?

It never used to be 6000 or have adequate segregation on one of the sides.

i believe they're planning to build up the side that's pretty much empty atm

segregation is easy- just have away fans behind one goal

I was only pointing out how suprising it is to see them doing so well.

Also your facts are slightly inaccurate re: their attendences. As I understand it they are about the 5th best supported team in the Conference.

Also how do you feel about Lewes FC's success this season?

But is all that planned to be ready for next season?

I see Barnet has been deemed up to scratch, now when we went there for the in the pre season of 2003, they had done nothing to improve it and there was less temporary seating behind the goal than when they were in the league.

Here's a summary of the key requirements for teams to be promoted from the Nationwide Conference:
ground capacity

Three levels of requirement are defined:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

qualification
criteria 4000 capacity with
ability to reach 5000 500 seats with
ability to reach 1000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

admission
criteria 5000 capacity 1000 seats with
ability to reach 2000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

membership
criteria 5000 capacity 2000 seats

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Qualification Criteria present the level required for promotion. Any club that believes it will be in a position to qualify for promotion from the Conference must submit, by 1st March in that season, evidence that it can comply with the Qualification Criteria.
The Admission Criteria is a level that must be achieved by 1st May of the club's first season in the Football League. Any club not meeting the required level by 1st March will need to demonstrate to the League's satisfaction that it can comply by 30th April. Failure in this instance would lead to loss of all points and therefore automatic relegation back to the Conference.

The Membership Criteria is the full requirement to remain in the league. A newly-promoted Conference side has until 31st May at the end of their 3rd season in the League to achieve this requirement.

floodlighting

Each division of the league sets a minimum floodlighting standard. For Division 3, this is 350 Average Lux Value assessed at a large number of points around the pitch, with a minimum at any one point of 210 Lux. This is part of the Admission Criteria, so must be met by 1st May in first season after promotion.

You cock.

CTFC are in the play-off positions in their first Conference season and are still one of the few part-time sides in the division.

Just because you support one team that shouldn't blind you to the achievements of another.

Remind me which team gave the Spunkgulls one of their biggest gate receipts at the Gallstone - oh yeah, Crawley! 19,000 people didn't think Crawley were "not worth talking about" then!

(okay, so you won 5-0! But that's not the point and probably wouldn't happen again)

Not sure if the last two were definitely on Brighton's books, but the other lot definitely were. And to be fair, Wormull changed the game when he came on and Marney would normally start.

Kevin Hemsley
Sami El-Abd
Paul Armstrong
Danny Marney
Ryan Palmer
Simon Wormull

Barnet meets entry requirements but unless the ground is improved they will find themselves kicked out after 2 years (or some similar timescale).

Why do people not realise that Sussex is big enough for more than one league club, and teams like Lewes and Crawley doing well is good for football?
