Could We Have Gone All The Way Without Rooney?

i think they said last night that rooney is out for a good couple of weeks. so if we did get through, rooney would have been out for the final. so could we have still done it?

i think that it would have been not only a loss in quality but confidence also. to be honest if england did beat portugal, i couldn't see us comfotably getting past the semi's, let alone winning it.

We reverted to pre-Rooney form after he went off, thumping huge balls forward and surrendering possession. Although Vassell isn't Heskey, we still seem to think aiming for his head is the way to go. So no, not unless we got extremely lucky

Agree RT - Believe we would have won with Rooney, with him gone we lost direction & Portugal gained heart.
Definately wouldn't have got any further without him.
