If we had won last night we may have got a decent draw in the next round as some Premiership sides come into the competition.

That equals more money for the coffers and that in turn means more money to spend on the elusive Target man we are craving after.

So last nite may have cost us a lot more than we think in the long term.

A lot of if and buts but very feasible.

Dead right but because "Falmer is all that matters" we can lose to shit like Bristol Rovers.

Listening to Paul Samrah lay into that bloke on the phone in last night because he'd dared to criticise the team and Dick Knight made me turn off the radio.

The 'we're shit because we're paying for a public enquiry' excuse is wearing a bit thin.

CS has made a very good point. Say we'd won round 2 as well and got a draw at Manchester Utd. A full house there is worth about 600k for the away team. Don't just dismiss it.

Maybe so, but it IS a valid excuse as I'm sure we would have a much better team had the £2.5m (and counting) cost of the inquiry been invested in the team instead.

Also, it's not like we're really that shit are we? 3 in 4 whilst losing money every time we stage a home game suggests not

I dont mind us loosing if we're totally outclassed, but not when we don't bother playing to our abilities and advantages

A lot of people keep saying it doesnt matter about losing last nite!!

Well it does matter as it means less money in the bank and maybe at the end of the Season when we go down on Goal difference or by the Odd point (Hopefully not!!)I hope people realise the consequences of this game.

So keep an eye out tonite and see who Bristol Rovers draw

Of course it matters that we lost last night, but confidence is very low at the moment.

It won't do for the supporters to get on the case. Under Hinshelwood it was fair enough, because he was blooding the youngsters for the hell of it, but not when the manager has stayed the same, and we are struggling to find the players with proven experience.

Last year we beat Bristol Rovers and what did we get?

Middlesbrough on a Wednesday night with 200-400 Albion fans and 6000 smogheads.

Getting a Premiership draw doesn't guarantee money.

But getting a top premiership club on a Saturday should, I wouldn't class Middlesborough as a top premiership club

I didnt say TOP Premiership

What are the odds of Rovers getting a plum draw?

They'll probably get Grimsby away :lolol:

I would rather have Grimsby away and take 150 up there and win then get Newcastle away next round and count the money as it comes in with a quality Striker in the team rather than f*** All till the FA Cup draw comes round when we will all be hoping for a big side rather than Dagenham and Redbridge away and suffer another Giant Killing:nono:

You weren't there in Feb when we were away to Grimsby or else you wouldn't have posted that.

GRIM it was. (and we lost)
