Having worked at the 'Dean for a while during college, i remember Coppell being extremely down to earth and modest man. I can't remember his football being particularly stylish? What sort of football does he like to play? How are his man management skills? If reading's style is anything to go by, I don't think we will be total-footballing it! Please fill me in ...

Coppell gets the best out of whats at his disposal. a classic example is what he got out of Kerry Mayo. He never really had any money here & although a slightly bigger budget at reading managed to get them promoted to the prem.

Mayo's performance against Wolves on Sky comes to mind.

I remember watching in the Sports Cafe in London and some Premiership fans asking us who our amazing winger was...

Reading 2005-6 Championship winners. Awesome, successful (won with a record no of points?), attacking...........

He wasn't a bad player, either.

Back in the day Gullseye contained jokes about the long ball style played by Palarse under Coppell.
"The back row seats at Selhurst Park are like gold dust" etc.
