Coppell not getting carried away

Steve Coppell is delighted Brighton have made a 100% start to the season, but believes it would be foolish to read too much into it so early.
Albion have opened their campaign with two league victories at Oldham and at home to QPR, sandwiching a Carling Cup win at Bristol Rovers.

However Coppell, who is trying to mastermind an immediate return to the First Division after relegation last season, is weary of making any premature predictions.

"A good start is important, but there's a long way to go," he said.

"The expectations of the fans does worry me. It's got to be borne in mind that we have five changes to the side that finished last season.

"It's pleasing so far because we've been tested in different places, and we've just beaten QPR who I have loads of respect for."

He's said that several times. I for one will respect him even if we don't go up. We need a period of stability at this club - we've had far too many managers leave in the last few years - more than most. I'm sure we'll have a good season - but I don't mind not going up as long as we put in a good account of ourselves.

Having said that if we get Leon and AK 47......:clap2: :clap2:

...it'll be a dead cert;)
