Former Reading boss Steve Coppell said today that he was surprised but pleased to be named League 1 Manager of the Month for the month of January.
Currently unemployed, Coppell was apparently still in bed when he received the news at 11.30 this morning.
Under Coppell's leadership The Seagulls will have amassed a full 15 points in the month of January with the 8-0 drubbing of Millwall capping off a great month for The Stripes.
