he might be right in the big picture, pushing for titles etc, but match by match basis its really all his responsibility. maybe dont pick the lazy players, change things?
Quite. You can't go around saying stuff like that. Does anyone honestly believe that the players are any more lazy than at anywhere else? I mean some might be, but it's pathetic having a strop at them in public. Just DROP them, you gobby cretin.

As for the board, well Levy has a lot to answer for but to be fair he has overseen the rebuilding of the stadium to be the best in the country. He also persuaded the England captain to stay when Man City came calling.

He's no Tony Bloom, but to be fair he stacks up well compared to the monied but clueless owners at Chelsea or Everton.

Looking at the footie journalist I follow, they all seem to be on conte's side:

Watching sky sports news, the Jamies (redknapp, o'hara) are talking about him blowing up his career, blaming players and refusing to look at himself, and about how the players won't stand for it.

Spurs best chance of a trophy this year was the FA Cup they went out to Sheffield United. You can’t tell me that manager and those players should have lost that game.

Likewise their performance against Milan (who are very average) over 2 legs. 0 goals.

While there might be some questions over recruitment you have to look at the manager and squad for this seasons under performing. Conte turning into Mourihno

Either a brilliant motivational speech or confirmation that he won't be at Spurs next season
he won't be at S[urs next season - that's a given; hs contract is up in the summer. The question is, will he be there next week? Souldn't be a pay-off problem for Spours - just pay him hid wages for March, April, May and June and tell hnm to sling his hook. He's almost certainly (IMHO) lost the dressing room.
I reckon Bissouma for one will be only to glad to see the old misery go - not as good as Hojbjerg and Bentacur in the Spurs midfield that gets over-run as often as not, my ****!.

That's just those thinking themselves as untouchables talking about those that think they are untouchable.

Redknapp and O'Hara are hardly the sort of people you immediately think of as bucking the trend. They all live in a huge bubble of pampering. If I was him I'd have a full training session tomorrow morning followed by another in the afternoon. Anyone prepared to moan is dropped from the team.

Thing is, Conte’s right. Perhaps he’s thinking that the best thing he can do for the club is shake the board (and players) out of their complacency, even if he gets released from his duties a few weeks early.

Fair play to him as far as I’m concerned. He’s right that it doesn’t matter who the manager is, Spurs aren’t well run on the recruitment side, the board always side with the players over the manager in times of conflict, and they don’t appear to have a consistent style, it changes from manager to manager. As a result their recruitment seems hodgepodge.

Long may it continue.

If the players are selfish or have the wrong attitude then surely he has been there long enough to have done something about it?
I agree with this - the attitude and level of motivation starts with him and as you say, if players aren’t displaying the right attitude or mentality then he shouldn’t be picking them. Yet he keeps picking the same team and only really changes players if they’re injured - but then rests his top players in the 5th round of the FA Cup ! Personally I think he’s a poor manager that can only play one way, and that’s defensive. The chairman put up a fair amount of cash to buy players last summer and everyone thought they were going to be a force this season - the fact they haven’t is down to Conte. Hope he stays and they implode to strengthen our chances of finishing above them !!

Yes I agree. I also think that Bielsa would be an interesting appointment for them next season.
