As per title, Conte on verge of leaving Spurs following 4 defeats in 5 PL games.

Now let’s all await for the inevitable "Potter to Spurs" talk all once again

His post match interviews definitely gave the impression of him throwing in the towel this week. 4 league defeats in 5, he’s simply not used to working with such an average squad.

Levy’s going to have promise a summer spend of peak Chelsea proportions to have any hope of keeping him on board.

It is unbelievable that Spurs did not bring in more defenders during the Jan window.

Again - tonight - tons more ability than Burnley but undone by a free-kick swung in and header from close range.

It's the worst Spurs defence I can remember since the early 80s.

Daniel Levy is an awful, awful chairman.

'There needs to have an assessment. The managers change, but the players stay the same'. Damning indictment.

What’s incredible about that, is that the serving manager in his brutal honesty, has just slammed much of his squad as shite. The very people he works with every day at the training base.

Mourinho-esque on steroids.

But they ARE shite.

Dier - awful
Sanchez - awful
Romero - disappointing
Royal - terrible
Rodon , Reguilon, Sessegnon - going backwards.

We have a better defence than Spurs. Burnley have a better defence than Spurs. Arguably Newcastle now have a better defence than Spurs.

Plus Winks and Moura are getting a consistent roasting on https://thefightingcock.co.uk/forum .

Great to finally see one of these so-called elite managers trying to get a tune out of average PL players. They just can’t cut it, even with the likes of Son and Kane in their squad. Rather than knuckle down and grind it out and try to find a way with what they have at their disposal like 14 other PL managers, it’s toys out the pram.

Beat Leeds and Everton in their next two premier League games and suddenly its 3 wins out of 4 and everything looks different

When we played them in the cup these same players were twice as good as our defence on the day

I don’t believe he joined Spurs when he did - rather than in the summer first time round without real guarantees about spending in the summer. Spurs were never going to spend that big in Jan as part of the plan and he must know that. None of it makes sense

Which makes him a PlayStation manager rather than a football manager. Terrible decision by Spurs to give the job to someone so lacking in coaching ability in the first place.

Q: "Who gets the sack every time they go to work?"

A: "The Spurs manager."

If his only way of getting success is by buying expensive players, he'll go the way of Mourinho soon enough. Only coaching the top players inevitably means you become used to players that can execute game plans at the highest level, whilst also having the brilliance to turn a match. Having to then coach a group that's simply "good" rather than "world class" will show how well he can bring others up to his level or otherwise. I think Conte has shown himself to be a bit of a one-trick pony here.

He’s a top draw manager no doubt about it. If you are at his level why would you want to waste time and effort coaching a Dan Burn when you can buy a much better player
