My Galaxy tablet is chugging somewhat and I think it is time for replacing. Use it for the usual time wasting activities - music, videos and NSC. Any best buys to suggest, happy to consider refurbished "pre owned "

I am very happy with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite. Until my recent retirement I went back and forth between the job-supplied iPad and my own S6 Lite, and there wasn't much difference. Mine is the 2020 edition (bought for COVID-era teaching) and it was about 1/2 the price of the Apple, but not even remotely 1/2 the tablet -- more like 7/8ths. There's a 2022 edition.

Are you replacing an A7?
