Confused with the whole online ticketing and friends and family

Hi all,

First of all me and my son went to the ground tonight and frankly cant wait for the new season ! Good times ahead punk:

We are both STH with our own individual fan numbers. I am looking to get tickets for the Spurs game and when logging in to my account I see the options to buy my ticket. No problem with that so I have tried to link my sons fan number to my friends and family and it says I already have added it. It then says a list of linked friends and family are shown below but does not show my son. If I click add to add him it says hes already added

Im really confused with it all and cant believe something that should be so simple is causing me this much grief. What the hell am I missing?

Im sure a call to the ticket office would sort it all but imagine they are inundated at the moment and it kind of defeats the whole online process.

Please help me !

You need to log in as your son and link him to your fan number.

Then it will show in future.

I am lucky.

I wouldn't go to football with any member of my family.

I have no friends.

Prepare for a long wait, 45 mins plus. This ticketing system and communications links (including staff training on this system) to the club have not been thought through properly at all as I can see. This is a constructive criticism, but unless sorted will prove to be a major ongoing problem for Away Games and Cup ties. Clearly without evidence of their systems I can't hone in on this but perhaps the IT contractors maybe able to elaborate what they have put in place.

There should be no melt downs at all if the system design and comms links were spec'd, , piloted, clear Project stage sign off points agreed in advance, then by in large the numbers today trying to obtain their tickets would be sleeping soundly tonight. And all for a fraction of the cost of the Stadium

As someone else has suggested, adding friends and family from your account gives them permission to buy tickets for you, not the other way round. Thus, your friend or family member has to log into their account and give you permission to purchase for them. Simples!

That!

If you think about it, this is logical. Otherwise you could just add a random name and fan number and buy tickets on their behalf. It's you son who needs to give you permission to buy tickets for him. What you initially done was allow your son to buy tickets for you.
