However, Albion chairman Dick Knight is today doing everything within his power to persuade Coppell that his future lies with the Seagulls.

Going by the club's typical PR efforts, re: Sidwell, etc, this usually means 'it's a done deal and the club are trying to fight a losing PR battle.'
And I don't care what anyone says about 'who can blame him', 'blame Archer/Belloti etc' - I expected Coppell to stay loyal for at least this season.
We can't keep harking back to the past about people not being interested, etc. There's a lot of clubs in a lot worse situation than us, i.e. going out of business etc - having a stadium is important but for f++ks sake we should be able to keep hold of a manager longer than a year...
If he's still here at the weekend, how about someone print off 5000 "F**K off Reading" posters for us to hold up? Or maybe "You can stick your Auto Trader up your arse".
Bring your banners, persuade him his future is with us. Lots of people always said Brighton was Coppell's kind of town anyway...
