Following the local lingo thread, how about some comedy place names to brighten up this Friday morning?

Crested Butte is a favourite of mine, although the Americans insist it's pronounced Byewt.

The aforementioned Earwig Corner is good, although not remotely rude sounding.

I think there is an Ars in one of the Scandinavian countries, while Australia should be good for a few dodgy sounding ones.

Top 10 anyone?

I've heard of a Wanka somewhere. And the Wankdorf Stadium.

Snigger, let's all laugh at the foreigners!

Newcomers to the Dorset village of Shitterton (which is on the River Piddle) managed to persuade their local council a few years back to rename the place "Sitterton".

Thankfully, after a few years, the Council had second thoughts and passed a motion to revert to the old name.
