In my opinion they are the best comedy duo ever, the way they bounce off eachother is incredible and some of their sketches are stupidly funny.

Opinions?

Used to crack me up big style!

They tried a new series a little while ago and I didn't find it that funny. It was good at the time but the joke's gone too far now.

I used to have great times at school shouting out

"URANU" "OOVAVO"

Vic Reeves big night out was the funniest and most cutting edge comedy this country has seen in the last 15 years.

I think they went down-hill when they joined the BBC, although still funny in parts.

for those of you who dont know my name "Mr Popkins" was from a sketch in Big night out ,paul whitehouse played him on novelty Island and had doughnuts that sang.

"You wouldnt let it lie!!!"

It depends on your age!!!

I personally think the best duo were Morcambe and Wise. So much so that if there was not a Christmas Special on by them, it was not a good Christmas.

Secondly, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. There humour ranged from the sublime to the awful, but the sketches featuring the two of them drinking in art galleries etc and putting the world to rights are the funniest things around.

Thirdly, and I am sorry about this, but The Two Ronnies had some extremely funny bits ( some awful stuff also)

In the 70's saturday nights in were dominated by firstly Dr Who, then the Generation Game, the The Two Ronnies, then Parkinson. "sigh" followed by Match of the Day with David Coleman.

God I am old!!!

from the office:

Gareth’s stapler has been put in jelly (again):
“Gareth, it’s only a trifling matter.” - Tim
“Here we go, always like this.” - Brent
“You should put him in custody.” - Temp
“Ha, he’s gonna fit in here, we’re like Vic and Bob. And one extra one.” - Brent

Morcambe and wise are so overated its untrue!
all of their material was written by eddie braburn, and Eric
ad-libed , 70,s humour that should be left there.

where as "The 2 ronnies is the funniest sketch show ever. apart from corbetts joke telling in the leather chair and guest singers like elaine page and phil collins!

Top class comedy. Big night out was superb as was Shooting stars.
What's on the end of the stick, Les and his bontempi organ.
Not sure if it's more bloke comedy as although my best mate and I would laugh our arses off, the mrs never seemed to get it.

so using that arguement, every comedian who has stuff written for him is what? The two Ronnies hardly had any original scripts, they were written by a host of people from Frank Muir to Barry Cryer. That is the beauty of that sort of comedy.

I met Eric Morecambe once and spent an extremely entertaining afternoon with him. He was a genuinely funny man who had a very sharp mind and was full of "one liners"

The Smell of Reeves And Mortimer is, IMHO, the funniest comedy programme I have ever seen. Pure genius.

Looking on vicandbob.net and its a good job I'm in my own office, as I'm LMFAO.

Mulligan and O'Hare, Councellors Cox and Evans, Vic as Melvyn Bragg, ahh the memories.

altough the two ronnies had sketches written for them, most of it was written by Barker.

people think morcambe was a comedy genius but he was not.(in my opinion)

I can see why people liked the morcambe and wise show but i dont find it that funny now, where as the 2 ronnies i do.
