Come to the Evening Star & Discuss Fundraising Plans on Monday Evening - 20 September

Come & Discuss Fundraising Plans on Monday Evening - 20 September

Following several suggestions on NSC that we give some thought to how fans might get involved in planning fund raising events, it's been suggested that a small get together is arranged on Monday 20 September.

Probably a pub in Brighton, and probably an 8.00pm start - when details are finalised, they'll be posted on NSC.

If you are willing to come along and contribute ideas, please respond to this thread (or send me a Private Message).

I don't think I'm doing anything that evening so may well mosey on down. As for ideas I'll have to try and think of some I suppose.

I'm already getting some PMs. I'll be replying shortly and will also make contact with people who have already posted ideas on NSC.

Events/ideas that I'm aware of are:-

The NSC Fund Raising Meet-Up, Monday 27 September

Raising Funds by Holding a Boxing Night ???

Sponsoring Young People to take part in the Conference March

Time for a Supporters' Trust?

A Jumble Sale

A Comedy Night at the Komedia

A Shopping Spree at the Club Shop

There may be other ideas that I've missed. Feel free to add items to this thread.

I am from London and a season ticket holder, always read NSC but have not messaged b4. Do we not have a group in Brighton ie The Levellers who could do a concert headed by Fatboy Slim? How about a Fat Boys/Fat Girls club ie sponsored slim? Just thoughts!!!

Surrey Street is the one-way street that runs parallel to the top bit of Queens Road.

The Evening Star is about 200 yards from Brighton Station.

That's a bloody short 200 yards. Unless of course you mean from the end of Platform 8, which occasionally lets 300 foot long computers, called 'trains' leave there on the way to Lewes and Eastbourne, only to break down just by London Road Station.

Sorry, waffling - I'll be there.

Damned fine pub that. Lovely drop of beer in there. I personally favour their Hopback Beer.

Most delightful!
