[Travel] Coldean Lane closed on 25th February

I've just seen this story in the Argus and thought I'd give people a heads up for next weeks Bournemouth match if they drive that way : https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/24941541.coldean-lane-close-150-infected-trees-can-felled/

Doesn't say whether it will be only shut during the tree works, or just a blanket 5 day closure.

Yep and having closed the road for a week till Friday 28th, Boom those absolute back to front’s at the relevant department B&HCC will drop this bullshit the following week for two weeks, absolute wankers of the highest order!!!

Edit and in case anyone is in any doubt this is ‘Highway Maintenance’ f*** all to do with trees.

So during the Coldean lane closures the only viable route then to get under the railway line is Hollingdean Road, guess what….. this and this , utter cunnntttsss

It is a big problem in those words; the council isn't making this up, there are some very sad looking ash trees there. You can tell by looking at their keys, they're not in a good state.


However, supporters going to the game will be relieved to know that the road is only closed from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM

You didn’t read my post, yes i’m fully aware the first closure is about Trees ffs, i’m advising that knowing this work they then plan a second week week of disruption in the same road

No,they're doing it all at the same time.

Coldean Lane will have re surficing works with lane closures and TTL’s for one week, the week after the same road is closed for tree felling

I never said there were plans to close the Road, however i did say that there are Temporary Traffic lights and lane closure for re surfacing the following week, see below

Coldean Lane should be open for traffic for Bournemouth match
