been told the club are phoning fans to check they are renewing their season tickets, why? enough publicity on this isnt there? are they desperate that they dont lose face and have reduced count of seaosn ticket holders or is this normal practice, cany anyone not renewing confirm this perhaps from past season.

Well I have asked to be moved seats this season due to being unable to cope with Wanker who sits behind me so as far as I am concerned they need to hurry up and allocate me a new seat.

This sounds like good customer service to me. Looking after your existing customers is a lot easier than attracting new ones. It may be that the existing customers have changed their minds over renewal, in which case the club is ensuring that it keeps their business

I was not going to renew in Div 2 but changed my mind after Cardiff. I phoned earlier this week to advise them that I would be renewing and was shocked to hear I should have done it by 30 April. Maybe there are others like me, we are quick enough to knock the PR so I reckon they are doing the right thing before re-allocating seats.

A lot of premiership clubs do this. It is just effective marketing and in my opinion, highly professional practice. It also helps with cash flow.

Its heartening to hear that the club are adopting best business practice.
