why are fans of Gillingham, Scunthorpe, Blackpool etc so proud of the fact that they have abandoned their respective teams to go and watch England v Kazakhstan that they have to advertise it on their flags?, If they are country before club (which is their choice) why not have 'England' embossed across it?...just wondered, like

Yes. If you're a member of Englandfans you get a cap for each home game which counts towards you being able to buy tickets IF we qualify for the World Cup.

you can get a cap for a home match by simply buying through the club, you can then sell the ticket on and recieve a cap (away matches (2 caps) are a diffrent matter as you have to sign in or send proof of travel)

to be guarenteed a ticket for tournements you could probably only get away with missing 2/3 matches, home and away during the whole 2 year campaign (inc frendlies) If this is someones reason for sitting through every England match they'd find it cheaper just to buy world cup tickets off a tout

It doesn't mean they have 'abandoned' their teams does it?

It just shows their club allegiance.

In South Africa??? Rubbish! The fact that for every game so far this qualifying period has been under subscribed would suggest that everyone will get what ever tickets they want regardless of how many caps they have (with maybe the exception of the final).

Japan was a piece of cake to get tickets and people had a damn sight more money then than they do these days.
