east jet

Easy jet for flight and Octopus travel for hotel. Book seperately its cheaper.
Have done various cities in Europe over the last 4 years and its always about 140/150 per person for Budapest, Prague, Krakow and the like.

Mind you thats in March but it was for 4 nights

as 10cc say, not in hove
simple two step plan:

look where easyjet fly to from gatwick, check if BA get there cheaper (unlikely)

book your flights and then expedia.co.uk your hotels

voila

If it is only for 3 nights, don't bother going abroad. Sleazy Jet will make you wish you'd never left home in the first place, and Ryan Air will leave you wishing you'd died in a car crash on the way to the airport.
My experience of City Breaks with both these carriers is hour after hour in the departure lounge of some crop-dusting airport, with one broken vending machine, being told we are delayed owing to the lateness of the inbound plane.....

Go to somewhere like Bath or Edingburgh instead. You won't regret it.

A long weekend in Dorset would do for me.

In total agreement with you. When I was young & foolish and didn't care much about money, I took Mrs P to Barcelona for our first ever holiday together. We stayed in a £400 a night suite at the 5* Hotel Claris. Fecking beautiful.

I've flown with Easy Jet to Athens many times and Ryan Air to Prestwick and never experienced that.
