Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis.

I've just been to see these two at the Brighton centre. Chuck Berry is a legend! At 78 he's still strutting around the stage and looking like he's really enjoying it. We're not worthy!!!
I would have met him if it wasn't for the bloody sercurity guards sending him away when he was signing autographs outside.

A legend indeed. Just reading a Buddy Holly biog and it's amazing that Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis regularly toured together with Holly, The Everlys, Little Richard, Eddie Cochran etc. on the 'Rock n Roll' tours across the States almost fifty (Fifty!!) years ago at a time when there were riots in many US cities visited by the tour in protest at the subversive influence of hip-shaking rock n roll, and at blacks and whites appearing on the same bill. Lewis was even quoted as saying of Berry 'Get that f/ing n/gger off the tour' although they later patched up their differences.
