The local paper up there said “small fee” to help with the move costs, so maybe even less than that.
Ipswich have lucked out on this one, because of his diminishing contract.
He’s already shown himself to be a decent championship keeper.
I bet he will go for seven figures in the future.
It would have been nice if we’d got a sell-on percentage rather than a fee.

Perhaps we have?

I have read nothing to suggest that. Maybe unlikely with only a few months left on the contract ?

I've read nothing suggesting anything (or not suggesting or denying anything) either (other than that he's left permanently for an undisclosed fee). Conditions and clauses (if any) completely unknown. Could be anything!

In demand if Ipswich don’t go up it seems
Good to see Christian's fortunes on the up again. Had a good few seasons where his career seemed to tail off somewhat, I think he is more than capable of holding down a role in the Championship.

Walton is on a record streak right now, not conceeding goals and this Ipswich revival is just what is needed to topple a wobbly Massive of Sheffield The ominpotent ones are nicely poised to blow an automatic promotion place, which was theirs for the taking.

He is easily the best goalkeeper in League 1 (except maybe Carl Rushworth!) and he'll play Premier League football within a few years. Much like Gyokeres (who started and scored for Sweden last night), he had to leave to play regular football and develop his career. It doesn't suit all players to be loaned out for a season at a time. Eventually they have to make a career decision and it's worked out well for Walton and especially Gyokeres so far. Good luck to them both, I always keep an eye on players who have left us and I like to see them doing well.

The massive that is Sheffield Wednesday, who also have a fellow Albion custodian between the sticks.

Not lately I'm afraid, he lost his place a little while ago after dropping a few clangers and now finds himself firmly second choice behind Cameron Dawson.

Spot on this. If he does end up going to the PL or somewhere for big money, it doesn't at all infer we were wrong to let him go. Some will need to find a different route up

It was very much a sliding doors moment for both Walton and Sanchez.

Walton was looking like he was going to be second choice behind Ryan for the 20-21 season but picked up a nasty injury in the pre-season friendly against Chelsea. Sanchez then got the chance when Ryan fell out of favour with Walton becoming second choice again when fit and Maty had moved to Arsenal.

Walton had to move to get regular football, he could have stayed and sat on the bench and earned decent money but he wanted to play regularly which is to credit. He's done excellently at Ipswich, my best mate supports them and he rates Walton very highly. He'll get a move up the leagues soon, either with a promotion this season or with Ipswich possibly cashing if they don't go up.

I'm wondering on what basis you're making this claim.
