On the bench for the reserves today..... with all our strikers fit and him on the bench surely he hasn't got a future at the club...out of contract at the end of the season

Gatting, CKR, Robinson, Turienzo doesn't look like enough even in League One though.

To be fair, tryer though he is McPhee isn't going to improve that is he ?

If him and McCammon can make way for a decent striker i would be happy

I don't get it, Gatting does no more than McPhee but everybody thinks he looks great. I think Gatting has done very well for his age, especially given our current situation but McPhee has also looked alright when he has played. Could do a job alongside CKR next year.

I kind of agree with parts of that..... they both hold the ball up, however Gatting has an exceptional scoring record at youth and reserve team level.... something McPhee has never had. He also looked fairly ordinary on loan at Aldershot, a league he really should be impressing in if he wants to make the grade here. Look how well Jakey played when he was there

Mcphee is no worse than Robinson and in fact offers more.

How ?

Apart from his ability to hold the ball up McPhee offers nothing

Jakey has superb movement, good touch and good finishing abilty...just easily pushed off the ball and low on confidence....McPhee never looks like getting in scoring positions

Yeah Robinson really shown all that this year.

So why is that being low on confidence a reason for poor form for robinson but not Mcphee?

He did at Palace, then he was dropped.....hardly good for confidence.

Didn't say it was an excuse for only Robinson.... for all our strikers

However i see it as a sign that no league club wanted to take McPhee on loan and when he went to Aldershot was poor...Jakey at least showed promise when he was there

McPhee scored eight or so goals for us last time in League One though didn't he? Surely he should be given a chance at that level seeing as Robinson and Gatting haven't proven themselves yet.

New striker to come in?

Correct me if I am wrong but we have managed to sign bugger all in that position in the last few months, so where is one going to appear from?
