Indeed, well done the Albion. They deserve the praise for ending the long unbeaten run.

I watched the highlights on the BBC because of the result and if Emma Hayes thinks it's a step down from Chelsea Ladies to AFC Wimbledon then AFC Wimbledon must have quit League One and joined some obscure South London parks league.

Well done the Albion women, absolutely brilliant result :albion2:

I see your last goal was scored by Connolly, that surname has certainly had a busy weekend for the Albion. Just a shame that the men's Connolly was not on the Saturday scoresheet, although it was very nearly, maybe the next game perhaps.

Based on the highlights, Albion rode their luck with the woodwork saving them twice, and the winner coming from an absolute howler by CarlyTelford.

And the stats of Chelsea's 76% possession and 30 shots against Albion's 3 probably tells its own story of the game too.

But all of that still shouldn't take away from an outstanding result against a team packed with internationals, so very well done to Albion Women.

One of the centre halves (Williams?) put in some decent tackles....

Nice to see that new signing Koivisto started the game. She's been one of the best players in the Swedish league (similar level to PL) for a couple of years and should be a great signing.
