Cheaters

I keep seeing other teams label us as cheaters and what have you. Why exactly? I mean Gus has a South American temper, but that's not cheating.
I don't understand it. Can anyone shed some light?

Because Gus has instilled some south American lets call it gamesmanship into our side that pissed people off if we are winning. A little bit of slowing the game down possibly some time wasting here and there and some subtle fouls and pushes. Its actually quite clever and why south American sides have been successful.

A bit like Barnsley last week - when they broke up play. Someone went down in the first half for about 5 minutes, but there was nothing wrong with him.

For cheating read 'Burnley'

They had an amazing referee playing for them last season at the Amex who unjustly sent off an Albion player then later, when apparently an Albion player apparently committed a foul (which was pretty innocuous) resulted in a Burnley player seizing our player by the throat. Our player was sent off whereas he should not have been but their player should have been sent off for the retaliation.

Imagine how pleased I am that we stuffed them today !

Yeah, that's basically my stance. It's not like we've been looking for set pieces or anything like that. It's just one way of controlling the pace, plenty of teams on the continent do it and even then we don't do it as much as the likes of Barca. When it comes down to it, if our time wasting was excessive, we'd get booked. I've seen yellow cards given for it before at other clubs.
