Cheap Flights Website Help

Trying to find a cheap flight to New York to visit a friend who has just had a baby, but every site I try wants me to put in dates to get prices. What I want to do is find whenever the cheapest flight is as it really doesn't matter when we go, but I can't find any website that will do this. Anyone know any?
