On the BBC website transfer listing: Charlie Oatway, Unattached to Brighton.

Clearly the confusion has to end. If parents will insist in giving their sons the same name as the father, then the only solution is the American one.

So it's either Charlie Oatway II, or Charlie Oatway Jnr.

David Burke referred to him as "Charlie Junior"... So, CJ it is, then.
"I didn't get where i am today by worrying about whether I'm Junior or Senior!"

So where on Earth did Charlie come from? I mean, he's not exactly short of names to choose from is he?

Is his dad's name actually Charlie? Anyway, I doubt we will need to talk about him much as I cannot see him cracking the first team.

i think the proper term should be "the Younger". numerials are for monarchs or films, jnr is an americanism.

that fact that our old midfield general isnt actually named Charlie makes it a moot point. shouldnt be using either numerials or jnr.
