Champ Manager

Met this guy when I was working in France last year. He is an Everton fan and bit of an odd character.

Anyway, he loved playing champ manager. He would only play it twice a week so he had a game on the Saturday and one mid week.

Saturday games he would wear his suite and club tie and mid week he would put on his tracksuit.
He then got his mum to ask him questions at his press conference after and would set up the camcorder.

Like I say, odd guy! Does anyone else take it seriously or know any other odd balls like him?

I know someone who used to write a match report for each game he played on CM, but that was more for the practice than anything else. I think the document was at something like 40k words by the time he stopped

Last I heard a couple of weeks for the demo.

cant wait but will be a wrench to leave my 2010-2011 Albion side which, in its fifth season is looking like winning its first premiership title.... unbelievably Elphik is still in the first team squad!

I tend to play it incessently for the first couple of months, but when I get to c20 seasons in I get bored of winning everything and it becomes very much an occasional session every month or so. At the moment in 2029 and have won the quadruple (Prem, League cup, FA cup, champions league) every year for about the last 5 years. Very much looking forward to the new version though!

The free Championship manager 2010 was crap. It was free well apart form the p&p but still a crap game. I heard they are not bringing out a new version as Football manager and Fifa have all the market.
