Catering in North Stand Withdean

Just a quick note to say how much better the catering in the North stand at Withdean is this season since the Albion took over the running of it from Ecovert. Chips now available at every game unlike past seasons, onions with the hot dogs and the paying punter no longer lining the pockets of Ecovert.

Yes I agree and it's great the club never sell out of Cheese and Onion slices even at Half Time. And the idea to sell soft drinks in plastic cups rather than bottles was a masterstroke. To charge exactly the same price was genius.

And Terry gets mustard on his hot dog. I am told that it has improved beyond all recognition since the start of the season. Although I am still not happy at paying £1.50 for a 10oz glass of draught coke but then I wouldnt want to pay it but I would charge it if I could get away with it.

So perhaps the complaints from some on here have done some good.

But the good news BG is that your money is now going into the clubs pockets rather than Ecovert. And when it comes to the price of a coke publicans tend to be the worst for over-inflating prices.

As I said would not pay it but would certainly charge it and more if I could. A normal standard mixer or fruit juice in a pub is 4oz a split like a coke or appletise is 6 oz. How does that compare with the draught .

As you say my money via Ben is now going to the club , well some of it.

No more burgers. No more chips. Stinking panda coke in tiny cups for twice the price of a full size bottle. Crap. And the soup/hot chocolate/ tea (all the same substance) is pure poison.

you are correct, cups are far less cumbersome and the quality of Cola is superb, definately not cheap panda pops variety that is served by most publicans. I have to agree that charging the same prices was inspired, so many of us are creatures of habit and a change in the prices would have thrown many punters.
