yeah forgot they were all top quality, brezo is dodgy as you like and poke seems relativley unproven, won't do well over a season without a decent keeper

Poke got 20 odd clean sheets last season for Torquay who were a bottom half side so that is a very decent point. Brezovan is currently our number one and i don't think Ankergren is any better then Kuipers IMO.

think leeds fans might disagree, he was a bit of a hero to them, wud be very suprised if he ended up playing in the blue square next year

I think we all know Kuipers could have one more season at league one level. Maybe not for us but he could.

brezovan is dodgy? What?!? Poke is a quality signing and Walker is def one for the future, Ankergren is not needed. Why would we waste a large sum of the wage budget on a 4th keeper. Nonsense.

From what I have seen on their forums, they thought Ankergren was dodgy and were glad he was released. However, it is irrelevant as we are not going to sign a fourth keeper. Brezovan was really good for us when he came back in to the side last season and Poke and Walker are decent options so this is a pointless thread.

No thanks. Very dodgy. Was only playing for Leeds last year as their regular keeper got a long term injury.

Would be a very good signing IMHO. If he could deal with crosses better he'd be playing at a much higher level.

I'd rather spend what we have on a striker, we cannot afford to go into the new season with just Murray & Barnes if we are serious about a challenge.

Doesn't matter what you think of them, we've got three keepers, signing Poke was a clear statement that Brez is number one. We won't be signing any more keepers.

On a side note I was trawling through some of the poorly written bile on the Swindon board the other day and one of them was pondering whether Greer would still be as good in front of a hesitant keeper like Brezovan.

Ankergren was no Leeds hero, they thought he was pretty shit.

That's because he is.

No thanks.

When people see the term 'free transfer' does their common sense disappear out of the window? We aren't going to sign an average keeper on inflated wages which would upset our own wage structure. The player will also require a signing on fee so the term free transfer is a bit, misleading.
