Despite not being as a big cup as the Fa cup would you like to see Brighton take it seriously?

A Decent result could see a semi decent money spinner in second or even third round.

I would like to see us take it seriously as we need all the money we can get. Maybe a fine balance with giving some youngsters a run out and playing some of those that need to raise their confidence levels.

you just know that if we beat our annual potential banana skin, we will get some boring championship team away- like stoke or something, whilst other teams in our league get a glamour tie

ALWAYS happens

We most DEFINATLY do need a good cup run, in whatever compitition, we need the money the good press and everything else that goes with a good cup run, i realise some will think we should just concentrate on the league, but i believe we have to concentrate on all the compititions, lets face it, we are hardly in a position to pick and choose, and also a good cup run does create a good feeling and added confidence amongst the players and fans alike............ SO....BRING IT ON !!!! :clap2: :clap2:

I quite like Stoke after the performance of their fans at our place like season.

Still id rather not go to a nothing team like that.

I agree with that.
A good cup run might even inject a bit of atmosphere into Withers - or is that expecting too much?:clap2: :clap2:

Not overly bothered. It would be nice to do well in it, but at the same time I don't really give a shit if we get knocked out in the first round.

Got to take the League Cup seriously, as the chances of making it to the third round of the FA Cup are minimal, as a direct result of last season's gutless relegation.

As for the Johnstone's Piss Pot - who cares? Send out a Stewards XI, with Harry Potter as 'loan striker' and 'size 18, you're 'avin' a Larf' in goal.

We've got as much chance of a money spinner in the Paint thing as in the crap beer thing.

No, I want us to go out. Unless we get one of the top 6 in the Premiership (which is obviously unlikely as we have to win 2 games first), I would find any game boring. People go on about getting a Prem team, but would Everton away or Middlesborough at home really be that exciting? I don't think so. There's not even that much money to be made, because unless you get one of those top 6 clubs, most other teams won't pull in much of a crowd for a game against us - Middlesborough a few years ago got about 10k didn't they? Not going to get the bank too excited is it. If we could guarantee facing Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, or Liverpool, then I would hope we win, but as it is I don't give a shit if Boston beat us.

Strange attitude. I would watch us whoever the opposition was and would certainly hope we'd win. I'm not excited by the prospect of watching a Premiership team whether it be the predominantly journymen prima donnas of the likes of Chelski(no thanks!) or any of the other high fliers. Fair enough, if it brings in more money to the club but, otherwise, I'd be happy with opposition in any division as long as we progress as far as we can.

Why should we not care? It still gives us a chance of a final at Wembley or Cardiff, even if it's not as prestigious as the FA or even the League Cup.
