I know there's no love lost on here, certainly not for Cardiff anyway, but I personally would love to see these two in the Prem next season just to give the whole thing a bit more...well.... Welshness. Anyone else?

Actually Swansea and Cardiff were founder members of the inaugural league system (together with Newport and Merthyr Tydfil), so it wasn't set up as an English league in the first place. It's got nothing to do with how proud we are at all, why leave something you've been a part of since the turn of the last century just because some bigot says so.

The hostile response is just a reaction to the constant diet of anti english bile and venom we receive from the welsh and scots, people are just sick of it and are starting to adopt a " why dont they just f*** off and have their independence if they want it " attitude, it's the welsh and scots who have caused this attitude, you only have yourselves to blame.

That's a pretty one-eyed view of things. There are areas of Wales where that's the case, usually by the egg-chasing rugby lot - but it's only tongue in cheek most of the time.

The majority in Wales don't want any sort of independance and are just as proud to be British as most English people.

Next time Swansea v Cardiff are on the box, take a look at how many Union flags there are with the Swansea fans. They actually outnumber the dragon.

As a side thought, how many Welsh and Jocks have been brought back from Afghanistan in a box? You don't see many complain then.

I'd love to see both of them in the prem, it'd be tidy, I'd also like to see Owen Money pull his finger out and get the Martyrs back on track.

They would certainly be of more interest than Hull V Burnley or Bolton V Stoke to me anyway.

Soul Crew are a bunch of evil bastards.I got a slap outside the Goldstone in 96/97 just for keeping my head down so i've never liked Cardiff scum.

Swansea would freshen up the Premier league with their passionate fans.

I can’t speak for the Welsh as I can’t say I’ve come across many at football but I was in the west end of Glasgow when Scotland played Germany a few years back and although we got a bit of abuse for being English it was all in good spirit and was nothing more than banter.

I think the notion that the welsh and Scottish hate English people and all things English is bollocks. I’m sure there are some that hate the English but so what, there are plenty of narrow minded inbreeds that hate Blacks, migrants and asylum seekers in England but they don’t represent the majority of English people.

So did I, I was only 14 at the time. I suppose I can't complain as I did tell him I was going down on his mother :lolol:

I've got no problem with the sheepshaggers or the jocks, it's just a healthy national rivalry.

Hmmmmm!
having lived in the heart of welsh speaking Wales now for nearly 7 years I can say that most of the Welsh are fantastic people, it must be that where we are in Carmarthenshire they are just not particularly English lovers.
As for Swansea and Cardiff in the premier, they have to get there first Cardiff have flirted for a few years but I must say both could do it this season if they keep up the way they are playing now
the Cardiff and Swansea fans that live locally are really OK and always say how they admire the way the Albion have fought back from the brink and we have always got on Ok with the people from either place and even they say they are not particularly welcome in this area.
I suppose its like most places that are small they have small people with small minds, the lady who lives next door (98) has only ever been out of the area 3 times in her life and refuses to see one of the doctors because he is English( he's not in fact but his parents are) and you can't really fight that sort of attitude.

live and let live I say.

I'm not sure how anyone who was within about 100 yards of them Cardiff 'fans' at any of the matches at the Goldstone in the 90's esp. 96/97
would want them in the premiership. I hope they go bust

Couldn't agree more. All clubs have their idiots, but Cardiff love to revel in their 'Soul Crew' past. In fact the club actually encourage this by promoting and selling books and 'T' shirts in their club shop.

On the last 2 occasions when we have beaten them, they have caused a lot of damage. Apart from ripping up seats and attacking first aid people, they have smashed up our concourse and toilet area, rubbing shit all over the walls in the process

Can't see that sort of behaviour tolerated in the Premiership for long.
