This is absolutely true. Had lunch today with two colleagues, one a Watford fan & the other a Palace fan.
We were in the Croydon Park Hotel, close to East Croydon station. The restaurant, was frequented by a few business types but mainly retired sorts. Apart from us there was a also a table of people who we took very little notice of apart from a youngish women trying to control two toddlers who were running amock.
My Palace colleague commented that she was inappropriately dressed, a bit of a chave really. Whereupon she turned to her kids a said, 'We'd better hurry up as we have to meet your dad at the caravan'.
I turned to my Palace colleage & said 'So it's true then? You're all Pikies & live in caravans'.

When we left the hotel; it became apparent - it was right opposite the Croydon Law Courts.
