Need to renew early October, currently with NatWest and they quoted me £810 (thats with 1 claim in the past year, last year it was £575 I think)
Went to Tesco.com Car Insurance - £810 also
Elephant.co.uk - £490

Obvious which ones winning here, but before I dive off to africa and find this elephant anyone else know of decent cheap motor insurance people/websites?

Thanks in advance for any help

Find a member of your family that is in the Civil Service Motoring Association (believe me there are thousands out there) you can then join the CSMA for £12.50 I think.

Membership gives you access to Frizzell's special policies. Direct Line, Elephant et al got nowhere near the deal I finally cut with Frizzell.:drink:

I used Elephant. As widely moaned about on here, shortly after I had my car nicked.

It's all very well getting cheap insurance, but it's no good if the insurers don't come through when you need them.

Elephant were very good when it came to the claim and even paid me out over a grand more than I had paid for the car. I'd got it for a good price, but assumed their 'market value' would not be more than they knew I had paid for it.

Don't start me on car insurance - just because we drive classic cars (which means we don't get a no claim bonus) no one wanted to insure our new car as we've never had a no claims bonus history!! It sucks frankly!!

We finally got it insured with Tesco though...although I remember direct line being reasonable as well....

Yeah, I forgot to mention that Elephant tried that scam of quoting for 10 months only, :censored:

Elephant are the only car insurers to use.
fantastic price - great service.

As Smile is the only bank to use.
Great interest -great service.

These 2 outfits i think are a rarity in the UK - and i support them.

Elephant did me £700 fully comp on a Japanese import convertable with no history. I am 28 and have no no-claims and a "dodgy car/insurance history".
