What a difference a month makes. How has it gone so wrong?

Just be glad we're not France. Or Italy. Or even Spain?

Germany are struggling a bit too!

Hardly surprising. This would be one of the top England failures. No way he would survive it.

Same reason why I didn't want Gus to be offered more than a 2 or 3 year deal. People who want him given a "life long" contract are pretty darn naive

Won't be shocked if he does decide to go not his fault that his players can't do the basics though. They have a lot to prove on Wednesday

No not good, cause if he resigns we will have gone out of the World Cup. I can't believe people are turning on him so so quickly. I am as gutted as anyone with our current shit form but I don't see how turning on everything England helps. If he resigns English international football is f***ed, because if he can't get us firing no one apart from Mourhino can and he wont manage us.

I have to say I agree ENTIRELY.

Whatever is wrong with England right now I really don't think you can blame Capello, the man who guided us through a staggeringly successful qualifying campaign in which we outscored EVERY other team in Europe.

To be honest if I were him I'd resign too, releasing a statement to the press that NOBODY is ever gonna get this lot to win anything

Do you blame him - built up by the media to be castigated when we fail.

Apparently the team that failed on Friday and slated was the same team (except for James & Carragher) and formation that beat Croatia 5-1 and was hailed as a genius stroke!

anyone who thinks that that is a good thing to come out of a camp unbeaten and one game away from the knock out stages against f***ing SLOVENIA, is out of their mind.

This is very very bad indeed if true that this sort of shit is coming out the camp.

How the hell is it good that one of the greatest managers in the world cannot get this bunch of players to put in a decent performance. If Capello, a man who has won everything in the club game, cannot due it then we really are in the shit and should just be pleased to qualify for future tournaments rather than having any hope of qualifying for the latter rounds.

Don't think it will come to it though, scrap a 1 nil Wednesday and then see what awaits in the next round

Its hardly Capello's fault. As he says, he doesn't 'recognise these players from training and the qualifying rounds'. The blame lies fair and square on the dysfunctional chavs playing like a pub team against inferior opposition who simply want it more.

Correct, it HAS to be the players, If they do not like the discipline or structure and not being allowed a few beers each night or the WAGs about then that is their issue to deal with. Capello has managed at the higest level and been succesful, it is not his fault that Rooney cannot be arsed and the others could not string 2 passes together.

Capello got us to qualify better than any other manager in the past, if we f*** it up under him then there really is not any hope for us.

Anyway, a lot of these gripes can wait. If we fail on Weds then let us start the inquest, however who is to say we will not win well and then really push on for the rest of the tournament?

it would be inevitable, but i cant believe we are even discussing it. Hardly good preparation for the game is it? I hope, if this does come to pass, someone at the FA really digs in to what happened in the past month to turn this around. AND learn and make changes from that inquiry, what ever the outcome.

Capello has managed at the higest level and been succesful,

though not with internationals, taking a squad off for a month. what differences does this make to the managment? do other clubs have a similar ban on wifes and a swift half in the evening? and who says they are in need of either, other than our media?

Don't blame him, he is minted so why put up with the hassle of dealing with fuckwits like Rooney and Terry ?

THIS!

Rod Liddle in the Times says a bit of him wants us to fail because it will be so wrong if we win and we get
