Can anyone recommend me a plumber in Brighton?

Sorry about this but the hot water at Harveys Towers has packed up. As a result I have the choice either to smell even worse than normal or suffer cold showers in the morning. And I don't trust the dodgy sods that advertise in the Yellow Pages and Leader.

Need someone who knows what to do with a boiler (i.e that CORGI stuff)...any recommendations either posted below or via PM would be very much appreciated. Cheers.

Hmm, in that I could only offer small change at the moment...the cold showers are taking their toll.

Does the central heating still work? If so it probably isn't the boiler unless you've got a combi in which case its almost certainly the hot water changeover valve/diaphragm.

Cheers. It is a combi boiler. And, like its owner, it's far from in the first flushes of youth.

As a temporary fix until you get a plumber, try turning all the radiators off except the one nearest the boiler, run the central heating until the one rad gets hot, then open a hot tap and it might conduct heat from the heating circuit. It totally depends on the type of boiler and the heat exchanger inside but its worth a try to get a bit of hot/warm water.

Oh yeah, as a side-note don't touch Ace Boiler Services in Sackville road. I won't go into details on here but a mate of mine used them. Not good. In fact very bad.

When I lived @ Fiveways, used to always use the plumber known only as 'Mr.Williams'. Top bloke! Wondrously old skool prices! Not got a phone number but he's a dead ringer for Maxi Jazz out of Faithless if that helps.

Actually, that doesn't help at all does it? :nono: :shootself
