Although it looks more fun than watching the Albion at the moment. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow instead. Maybe we could all do it at Withdean to prove our support for the club. That would create an atmosphere.

But not quite as stupid as our highly educated education Secretary, Ruth Kelly, wearing a barbed steel garter, the silice, around her thigh -- for TWO HOURS every day.

For her, and all other members of fruitcake Catholic sect Opus Dei, that is absolutely standard practice.

There really is no masochism like religious masochism. :jester: More Blood of Christ, Father?

Hypothetically, what would happen if you employed one of these guys and they had to take 4 weeks off sick to let their sword wounds heal?

If you sacked them would you be discriminating against their religion?

Not the real one
I saw this going on when I was in Iran, Terran about 5 years ago. Was with alot of brits and a few euro trash in a minibus. It was surreal, and disgusting. However most of us burst out laughing and thought what idiots!! It is a very strange and pathetic form of worship. We were told that children didn't take part but clearly they do. Sad.

Quote under one of the pictures (of a child beating himself with a razor).......

The brutal ritual is not condoned by all Shia scholars because they feel it gives a negative image of their faith to the outside world.

funnily enough......
