Buying tickets on the day for the Charlton game

This may well have already been covered elsewhere, so sorry if it's a duplicate.

I'd planned on going up to watch the Charlton game with some friends and, not having many loyalty points, figured we'd get just rock up and get tickets on the day for the home end. However, looks like only people with Charlton FC membership AND previous purchase history will be able to buy tickets on the day. I've had this confirmed on the phone and via email and a mate has likewise. Probably common knowledge already, but just though it might save someone a wasted journey.

Looks like I'll be heading to my four year old niece's birthday party instead....

Thanks essbee, but there are 4 of us who were planning on going and I figured the chances were slim!
