Listening to 'Bradford Bill' on the Moan-In yesterday, he asked the presenter if he remembered the goalie, Burt McGonnagle, I certainly do as we was in goal for my first ever Albion game in September 1963!

He got injured later on in the 1963-1964 season against Darlington. He came back for the last game of the season against Carlisle where he had a mare and was never seen again and was replaced by Brian Powney.

So, just as Bradford Bill asked, do any other older supporters remember that?

No! I didn't remember him at all. I had to look him up after the bloke mentioned him which is strange as he had taken the place of my boyhood team hero Eric Gill.
He must have made a big impression, but then I had just discovered girls at the time, so I suppose it's not that surprising.

He took a right clattering in the South goal against Darlo if I remember rightly.
