The rowing club sells cheap beer too. It's by the lighthouse.
They are always looking for new members and it's relatively easy to pick up. Watch out for the jelly legs after your first row though. My legs were so knackered that when we went to pick the boat up top carry back up the shingle beach I just fell backwards into the sea.

hmmmm . . .time is tight at the moment, having just moved house, and Im trying to build a racing car . . . .but maybe next spring I could be seriously tempted to try it, as long as its not tooooo heavy on the knees
