Good result today but for inspired third choice keeper form we would have thrashed them.

The boys worked hard for this result

Any team in a relegation zone never goes down without a fight. A good result for us.:clap2:

brighton, actually
this was the most dire game i've ever seen- little n large seem so mismatched upfront, and unsupported, its just not funny. leon knight seemed to be wheezing a bit, tho chris iwelumo (sp?)
was trying more than most.. a diabolical booking stirred the crowd
23/3 way thru, couldnt understand why WE didnt get a penalty... hey ho, still in the playoff, which really matters.

(ps- 4 days to go then i'm outta the crappy job!)

Wasn't the best game I've ever seen but certainly the best view I've ever had at the Theatre of Trees. Back of E Block (Blimey, they're quiet that lot..).
Thought that we didn't play between their lines enough; prime example in the first half when Chris and Leon were both running away from the ball trying to get in behind when it needed one to come short as an extra option, hopefully creating space in both areas.
Thought Leon looked like he was playing with something on his mind. He took a little bit of stick from some around me, but he has fantastic feet, intelligence and can turn either way. When I saw him earlier in the season, he made chances and goals by coming short and creating space between their defence / midfield.
Could he be suffering from the expectation of the fans as he's leading scorer? Perhaps...
Jonah had a good game but wasn't Chippy THE man, today(sorry, yesterday!). Thought he was MoM.
Thought the best thing today was the ref booking Harty (he SURELY should have been sent off when he took a tumble about 5 mins later ) that got the crowd and the team really going.
That's about 6 games I've seen this season, sorry not to make the latest meet up but hopefully will get an away membership and see y'all in the away leg and at Cardiff.

COME ON !

A bit harsh perhaps? I can think of worst games I've seen this season at Withdean, also think it was the vital points that was needed to secure a play off place more than a 90 minute display of quality football.

Jonesy - MOM match for me.

Ok, three points, but my concern is the last four games have produced only two goals for us, both of which were not as a result of clean open play finishing ( 1og and a pen). Yes we havn't conceded but with the format of the playoffs being almost a cup scenario we need to score..... it doesn't bode well methinks.

:nono:

PS Hope I am wrong though.

You are wrong - we can score but not conceding is the bigger issue for the play-offs

Beach Hut, one thing to remeber is that we will be playing two games against sides right up there, so conceding a goal or two may be a given..... we need to hit the net too.
