BACKGROUND
Scheme that is raising money for Sports Clubs around the country, could be used in East Sussex to raise money for the Albion Fund.
WHAT IS SPORTS REWARDS?
The opportunity to go out and enjoy yourself and raise money for the Albion, whilst the leisure industry of East Sussex merely extends its existing promotional and marketing plans.
HOW IT WORKS
Based on the principle that no-one pays anything extra, instead the discounts offered by venue are utilised as a fundraiser, in this case the Albion fund.
Example: Ten Pin Bowling: Buy One Get One Free Offers: Group pays normal price discount given by venue to fund.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: VENUES
Make an offer up until the end of November, we'll promote it free of charge. This can apply to: Bars: Cafes, Cinemas, Theatre, Clubs, Gigs, Ten Pin Bowling, Laser Quest, in fact any venue that you and your friends, partner or work colleagues will tend to visit over the next two months. The more generous the discount, the busier you will be.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: INDIVIDUALS
Make sure that your normal monthly expenditure on your social life is spent in those places that are donating back to the Albion.
You can also make sure that your work socials also visit these places. Again please remember that you will just be paying normal prices.
Business: Entertaining clients? Then make sure that corporate expense account is spent in the right places! Bear those places in mind, if you are funding the works outing as the Albion Fund will benefit.
DOES IT WORK?
In the first two months of a national set up with Jongleurs we have helped raise over £10,000 for 14 individual sports teams. The bigger the numbers involved, the more you will make.
WHAT CAN BE DONE TO SET THIS UP THEN?
We have letters for the Venues in Brighton, so if you want to get your favourite place involved then please get in touch and we can e-mail it to you!
OVERVIEW?
Take any week in October or November and over £20m is spent in leisure activities, if over eight weeks, 0.1% of that could be Albion Fund related that would raise £160,000.
THEME WEEKS
For those getting involved there is a lot of publicity and opportunities to boost the Albion Fund and their own business.
CLUB AID: Something for Mr Norman Cook and the Skint boys to get behind? One week and every admission sees nightclub donate £1 per person to the fund!
Well, that's my idea for your meeting on Monday night!
Appreciate your views!
Regards
