Brighton Songs

This thread is not moaning about the atmosphere at Charlton today whatsoever, because that was probably one of the best fan performances i've seen in my life. But I think we need to expand on our list of songs, often I thought that we were repeating ourselves with the same songs, and although these songs are excellent, I think that we can find more songs to sing from the stands.

I know many people come on here and try to make up songs, many of which are actually good, however hardly any of these actually make it to games, it'd be nice to see if we could altogether come up with a few new chants I know some people may respond negatively to my comments, but I reckon we could really create something special if we really put our minds to it

Saw a group a few rows down from us who tried a few different songs today, caught on a little bit but one of them was about Calderon but i couldn't quite make out what was being said.

Yeah saw that too, but i'm thinking if we actually got the whole board aware of songs and actually brought them into games, we could have the whole stand chanting Calderon's name to whatever tune

I'm going to be honest but i can't really see us changing or adding anymore songs at the moment.

Hmm, see what you mean, as we're so familiar with what we already sing I can't see any drastic changes, but I reckon we could be able to sneak in maybe some songs focusing on one player, after all the level they are performing at at the moment deserves a song or two

I thin we've got a decent number of songs, they might be simple, but at least we don't just do the Pompey chimes all match.

Simple songs are generally the best for an atmosphere because everyone joins in.

But agree, a few witty songs for individual players would be good. Back in the 90's we used to have one song for every almost player in the team, but players used to hang around for longer then.
