Chris Hughton: Annoyed by defeat
Brighton boss Chris Hughton is determined to banish any lingering relegation fears as soon as possible.
The Seagulls are nine points above the drop zone but missed the chance to increase the gap when they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Rotherham on Monday.
Next up is a visit from leaders Bournemouth on Friday and Hughton is looking for a vast improvement from his side.
"I'm annoyed because we had a real opportunity to increase that gap and what we don't want to do is keep looking behind us," he said.
"We don't want to be thinking about the other teams below us. We've got five more games left and we want to try to finish this season in the best way we can.
"I have been delighted with the effort that the players have given me so far.
"Monday was a bit of backward step because it wasn't good enough, but they know that and it's our responsibility and the team's responsibility to be better in what will be a very tough game on Friday night."
