Brighton Kite Festival anyone ?

This is a top class sports weekend for me, and not a mention of the F1 Grand Prix or the Tennis.

Yesterday Le Tour, and today I would like to mark your card with the Brighton Kite Festival at Stanmer Park 11.00-5.00pm. Check out www.brightonkitefestival.co.uk

There'll be people there from all over the country and even abroad. Its a great way to spend a Sunday out in the sunshine. Professional display teams in the arena, hundreds of ordinary people who fly their own kites, kite shops, bar, food. And like Le Tour yesterday its FREE to go.

I can't believe the hideous weather has let up for the weekend, but its perfect out there today.

Going to the kite festival this afternoon. Thirty foot inflatable octupuses and a luvverly zoider tent. What's not to like?

How bizzare its been blowing a gale sideways all week, and it seems distinctly still today - kites are well cool - should be lovely today!!

I drove past Stanmer Park on my way back from church around an hour ago and the kites were flying well. There is a lovely breeze and they looked spectacular.
