Who went to that marvellous game back in 1983. Five up at half time going onto win by 7 clear goals. If I recall Charlton were unbeaten going into that game.:clap2: :clap2:

It wasn't live! It was a standard Saturday afternoon game. Incidentally that season was the last season I was a STH! Since then I've picked and chosen my games for the last 24 years

Charlton were undefeated, they started the season with 3 wins and 4 draws before the 7-0 win. I wasn't there, I was only 8 so still had to rely on my dad to take me to games.

I was 11 at the time and remember walking up past the chippy just south of the Hove Park Tavern with my mate seeing some very happy faces. We asked the score and a bloke said 7-0. I couldn't imagine that the Albion could score that many in one game !!. Happy Memories.:O

I was there.

5-0 up at half-time. I'd got fed up of cheering after three or four - it was a massacre. It would have been even more if Jimmy Case hadn't been taken off half way through the second half.

October 1983 was a quite a month. In the seven games involving the Albion, there were 33 goals.

On the ocean wave
My ship at the time was en route from the Baltic to Casablanca when we had a collision in the channel. We went into Portland for repairs, I got the weekend off, went to the game which was f***ing brilliant, then went on the lash & got my leg over.
Now that is what I call a Brucie Bonus!!!
