Great run given his drug and mental problems though
One of my favourite bands growing up
I’ll add deafness to that list too.
Amazing capabilities to find the sound he wanted to express

I called them out. Pet Sounds is my second favourite BB album after Surf's Up...…..despite the cynics on the “over rated albums” thread.

Have a feeling my folks went to that too, and said the same about the high notes!I had the privilege of seeing him a few years back at an odd little festival in Preston Park. Quite a coup for the organisers back then. He was old, infirm, couldn't hit the high notes, but I was nonetheless totally star struck. A legend indeed.
I wouldn't worry. He liked it. He covered it:Funnily enough though, when I hear of Brian Wilson, my first thought isn’t Pet Sounds, The Beach Boys or his achievements - it’s actually the song about him by The Barenaked Ladies. I should really correct that to give him the respect he deserves.
30 musicians and 90 hours of tape for a 3.30 song....makes Bohemian Rhapsody sound amateur.RIP.
Thank you for Good Vibrations, stunning and years ahead of its time.
*cough* overstate *cough*Quite hard to understate his impact on life isn’t it. What a guy.
First dance at my wedding was Good Vibrations, played by the Brighton Beach Boys. Was good.
