Having been to Braga for a holiday three years ago, I was very curious where the Euro 2004 stadium was going to be since the local top flight football team were playing in a crumbling stadium that didn't appear to be much bigger than Withdean.

I was shocked to see the new one that Denmark and Bulgaria played in yesterday! It appeared to have been built inside a quarry! I've never seen anything like it - made me wonder what the Beeding Stadium might have looked like if Barry Lloyd's plan had got off the ground all those years ago.

Anyone thinking about a holiday to Portugal - try the north. It's very interesting and very beautiful

Went to the stadium yesterday (I am in an internet cafe in Portugal now - what a nerd). It was a very strange stadium. Two sides, rock face down the side, freezing cold in the upper tiers. You have to walk up ten flights of stairs to get to the top. Bastards.

Dragao, Porto's ground, is just superb. In fact, all the stadia I have been to are fantastic, it's just the infrastructure around them is diabolical. It's like they couldn't get them up fast enough, and they'll worry about the roads later.

Been to Porto's ground, Boavista's, Braga, and am going to Alveiro later today, and Guimaraes on Tuesday.

I'll tell you all about the totty here. Another day.

Marvellous scenes.:clap2:

make sure you leave plenty of time to get to Aveiro stadium if you are in a car.

For the Czech v Latvia match we missed the first few minutes despite arriving one hour before............and the game wasn't even sold out
