FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Being one for broadening my musical horizons wherever possible i decided to Give David Bowie's music a go, ive never sat down and listened to an album of his before.

I Listened to Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory last night both of which i thought were excellent.

Id never bothered before as id heard his more current stuff, and thought it was pretty average and didnt do anything for me.

Is it wrong to like Bowie..........?

Does 1970's music remind you of your retirement party Mr Shall?

He is nothing short of superb. Give Aladdinsane a bash at some point. When I first heard it, it messed me right up.

Top music. Can't speak highly enough of it.

Genius - one of the few advantages of now being in my 40s. Have you noticed his different coloured eyes?

I once got a mention on David "Kid" Jensen's 8-10pm show in the early 80's when I wrote in and requested "3 of the best" from Bowie. The only one I can remember him playing was Suffragette City. What a track!

His albums all the way through the 70s up until Scary Monsters were great. I really liked Modern Love at the time and bought it on the day it came out but I don't think it has stood the test of time unlike his 70's stuff. After that I lost interest in him.

Good Heavens! Like Dandyman I find myself in the incredible position of agreeing with Ernest!

Marshy, those two are the best although you could try Aladdin Sane as well. After 1980 he just became ordinary.
