Who will be in Lewes next saturday, making the journey down on friday satying at the relatives and enjoying the ale in the Elephant and Castle then a parade or two - or may stay in the pub.

Nope. I'll be watching the fireworks at Southwick Football Club, they're always excellent. Well, I'll be watching them from my back garden, cos I'm too tight to pay to go in. And you only end up standing with loads of council people.

Might light up a little bbq on my patio if its dry as well. Lovely stuff.

If you want to enjoy an ale, I wouldn't go to the Ellie. It'll probably shut during the procession anyway...always used to when I worked at the Lewes Arms.

Also...having to drink out of a plastic pint cup is a bit degrading

Please be good gentlemen and kindly f*** orf somewhere else during OUR bonfire night celebrations.

I thangyou

:salute:

I appreciate that newcomers aren't exactly welcomed but I've been going all my life and whilst I may not be a Lewes resident anymore I don't see why I should stop looking forward to one of the highlights of my year.

This is still a Brighton fans messageboard, I'd start getting worried if people from a Southampton or Crystal Palace BBS made out they intended on coming.

It's a local event for local people, and a great deal of us are fairly local to be fair
